His research interests lie at the intersection of <strong>renewable energy<\/strong>, <strong>biofuel combustion<\/strong>, <strong>sustainable transportation<\/strong>, and <strong>emissions optimization<\/strong>. He has over 15 years of academic and applied research experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has published extensively on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Alcohol-diesel and biodiesel blends<\/strong> for internal combustion engines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Engine testing protocols<\/strong> and <strong>emissions mapping<\/strong> under EU standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Low-temperature combustion strategies<\/strong> for cold climates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lifecycle assessment (LCA)<\/strong> and environmental performance modeling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Matijo\u0161ius collaborates with energy institutes and universities in <strong>Germany, Poland, Finland<\/strong>, and <strong>Baltic countries<\/strong>, and contributes to policy papers on fuel decarbonization in the EU transport sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has authored more than 60 journal articles in international journals such as <em>Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews<\/em>, <em>Fuel<\/em>, <em>Transport<\/em>, and <em>Applied Energy<\/em>.
